Deuce Deuce Club - Another 'home game' site for a group of players in the N/East. Hesta ivver sin a cuddy lowp ower a yat? Well, near enough...

Drew's Chip Guide - Looking to buy some poker chips but not know what to go for? Drew Day has compiled a very informative guide to what to look for, and also provides an overview of the history, manufacturing and distribution of poker chips in general.

Empire Poker - If you play poker online to make money rather than just to pass the time while The Wife watches 'Morse' (that would be me) then this is the place to be. Full of fish, and always easy to find a good game. Flop, Turn, River -  Great Texas Holdem Strategy Guide site, with interesting forums.  Aimed at the amateur holdem player looking to improve his game and learn no limit Texas holdem strategies, tips, and tactics.   

Full Contact Poker - Daniel Negreanu is one of the top tournament players in the World - Full Contact is his personal website, and contains all of his articles from Cardplayer mag, photo galleries and his personal journal.

Full Tilt Poker - play against the pros! Phil IveyChris FergusonAndy Bloch,  John JuandaClonie Gowen and Howard Lederer all play on this site (at low limit tables!) - not many online sites out there where you can test yourself against Tournament veterans like these - but can you win?

Gambling Books - The UK's leading online gambling bookshop. A very comprehensive listing of all poker related titles can be found here.

Good Gambling Guide - very informative UK gambling site with news, views, reviews and TV listings.  Jesse May, multiple author in the gambling field and oft-dubbed the "voice of poker" from his colourful commentary in Channel 4's Late Night Poker, writes a bi-weekly column here. 

Gutshot - informative site run by a group of London poker players, who also run a card room on the Clerkenwell Road. Regular cash games and Pot Limit and No Limit tournaments

Green Joker -  private poker venue within the M25 available for hire for private games and tournaments.

Hendon Mob - 'The coolest poker website on the net' (it says here) - virtual home of Barny and Ross Boatman, Joe Beevers and Ram Vaswani. Great articles, links, piccys and a great Beginners' Guide to Hold 'Em.

Holdem 100 - founded by a group of London-based poker players in 1995, the Hold'em 100 tournament is held annually to raise money for charity, last year raising £8,800 for the Royal Marsden Hospital. It's organised for players of all standards and is small stakes so gives novice players a better chance to learn tournament poker in a fun atmosphere.

Holdem Secrets - A great site by Rich McComas, featuring useful preflop strategies, starting hands and (amusingly) sucker hands! Can you guess what category MY favourite openers falls into? :o)

Homepokergames - listing of home poker games by region and country.

Home Poker Tourney - Great resource site for anyone planning to host  their own No-limit Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament. Invaluable! 

Howard Lederer - Trip reports, poker articles, galleries, a bio and a Q and A section can all be found at this personal site of the 'professor of poker'.

Ipswich Poker - Another 'home game' site based in Ipswich, run by Steve 'Kamikaze' Ridley. Yes, they play poker in Ipswich. Their website's a rather nice shade of green too.

Kleptic.com - Pretty-looking NL starting hands selection for those new to the game

Late Night Poker - Just came across this one. Amateur small stakes home game hosted in W2 (with something like a 25% house rake).

Learn Texas Hold 'Em - Great little site for anyone new to the game - includes articles on the rules of Texas Hold 'Em, poker hand rankings, basic  strategy and tables on odds and probabilities. Required reading!

London Poker Players - MSN group made up of poker players in London  looking for some good competitive play (small stakes home cash games and low buy-in mini-tourneys).

Low Limit Hold 'Em -  geared towards beginning and intermediate Texas Hold'em players, this site is full of articles, essays, strategy and tactics for anyone playing in low limit cash games, whether live or online.

Low Rollers - Another poker group based in London. They play on a boat, have more interesting bios and are much better dressed than us. I hate them already.

Masino Gaming - I got one of our poker tables here. These guys made the tables at the Gutshot, and are one of the few suppliers of quality poker tables on the UK mainland. Also sell chips, cards and layouts.

Meetup - poker players in London who might be looking to...er...meet up.

Nevada Jacks - This is where we got out chips from.  All 75,000 dollar's worth. I'll never see THAT money again *sigh*

Palm Imports - authorised distributor for the World Poker Tour. Want to get your hands on the chips and cards used in the WPT? Look no further... 

Partypoker - One of the biggest online poker sites out there, with something like 40,000 players. Mike Sexton and Shana Hiatt (off the WPT) are involved with this site methinks...

Play Winning Poker - Aimed at players whose aim is to win 'significant, spendable money' at the poker table, Steve Badger's site is a mine of information for the player who is serious about improving their game. Highly recommended.

Pokalyzer -  the most comprehensive Texas Hold'em analysis program out there today, designed to increase your understanding of the odds involved in the game, and hopefully help you to make better decisions at the table!

Pokercheat.com -  Some people who play poker for money cheat. This site gives you the lowdown on just some of the things you can look out for.

Pokerhints - simple, slick strategy site with tips and insights for all levels of player (from newbie through to advanced) looking to progress through the limits.

Poker Images.com -  Online photo library designed to give the media, as well as poker players and enthusiasts, access to a large and constantly growing collection of poker pictures. Classic poker images, very high quality photography, by professional photographers.

Poker In Europe - lots of interesting info, articles and reviews of what's happening on the European poker scene, and a lively discussion forum.

Pokernews.com -  Tony G runs this site, handy Rules section, interesting News Archive and good site reviews from one of the 'characters' of professional poker.

Pokerology - great new site from Tim Ryerson aimed at poker players in the UK. Lots of useful info, from cardroom listings, home games, and online poker reviews to tutorials on how to shuffle! Dale would do well to read the latter, methinks....

Pokerpages.com - Interesting articles and information on all matters relating to poker. Run an online Poker school and also affiliated with Bugsysclub, another good online poker site.

Pokersavvy.com - entertaining site from a group of poker players in New York - tips, tactics and tongue-in-cheek humour from across the pond!

Pokershop - One of the cheapest and best places to buy all your poker (and other gambling) related stuff online. UK-based, and great selection too.

Pokersourceonline - an interesting site for tips, strategies and articles on online play and table play. Interesting forums.

Pokerstars - My favourite online poker site.  Some good players here too.

Pokerstove -  Optimised poker evaluation software to enable you to enumerate complex preflop situations about 100 times faster than most evaluators available. In other words it's a number-cruncher. A fast one. 

Poker-strategy.org - a friendly online poker community website with very informative poker forums, a useful section on poker strategy, poker room reviews and poker news.

Pokertips -  a great site for poker strategy and information, with informative poker forums and online poker reviews

Poker Top Ten - tells, tips, poker rules, players, bad beats, starting hands, poker movies and books, they're all here - in Top Ten fomat!

Poker Tracker - seeing too many flops? Not being aggressive enough? This great bit of software enables you to track ALL of your your play by session and/or tournament, find out whom you've won the most money from (or indeed who has won the most money from you) Track every player you have ever played against, see how often they raise pre-flop, check-raise, win at showdown and basically how much better they are than you.

Poker UK -  POKER-UK is a guide to internet poker sites and games, including five card, three hand, stud strip poker and video poker. How to play online, casino reviews, rules and downloads.

Presentable TV - the guys who brought us Late Night Poker and Celebrity Poker Club. Interesting bios on previous series winners and programme info. 

Rake Free - help make Dutch Boyd's dream of  rake-free online poker a reality - just go here and register. Easy peasy. 

Rec.gambling.poker - Google newsgroup addressing all aspects of poker.

Recgroups.com - free web-based newsreader with a user-friendly interface and front-page access to the internet newsgroup Rec.Gambling.Poker (RGP). My personal favourite over the slightly better known Rec.poker.com

Rivered Again - Bad luck story? Think you had a crappy beat? Read and compare it against other players' tales of woe and count yourself lucky...

Riverstars - it's not just a nickname for Pokerstars - it's ALIIIIVE! Just found this one - 'home game' site run by Steve White - for anyone looking for a home poker game in Hertfordshire, this lot look like a friendly bunch.

Side-pot.com - thinking of building your own Hold 'Em table but don't know where to start? One of the nice guys at Side-pot.com has generously published his own step-by-step plans here for FREE to anyone with time on their hands...

Slough Palace - ah, Slough. Home of the humble Mars Bar, Herbalife and of course David Brent. Also, funnily enough, home of 'The Slough Palace' Friday night game.  

Texas Holdem King -  With bios of the pros, tournament rankings, strategy tips and more, this is an excellent poker resource site with gallons of useful info and articles.

TexasHoldem-Poker.com -  Updated weekly, this is a free Texas Holdem poker resource page, providing poker strategies and tips to help you get your game in shape.

TexasHoldemPoker-uk.com - Online and live game strategy guides, UK home games listings and forums for all levels of player.

Tex's Tears -  Tex Morgan's Tournament Evaluation And Rating System - great software for anyone who runs or evaluates poker tournaments. We based our own tourney structure on No Limit structures on Tex's site. 

The Poker Channel - website for The Poker Channel - the world's first TV channel dedicated to poker. Available to all Sky subscribers, as a free to air channel, located under the Entertainment section, Channel Number 265. Launches on 23rd March and will broadcast 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.  

UK Private Poker registry -  Great site for anyone organising or looking to participate in a home poker game - online list of players looking for games and private games looking for players.

UK Team Poker -  'The Home of the UK Poker Community'. Great little UK-based poker community with a lively, friendly forum. One to watch!

Ultimate Bet - one of the more popular online cardrooms.  Plenty of players and plenty of action, endorsed my some of the top Tournament pros like   Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth, David "Devilfish" Ulliott, and Antonio Esfandiari.

Wedoitallvegas - Planning a trip to Sin City? These lads have all the information you're ever likely to need. Alternatively organise it yourself and end up in a flop house halfway out in the desert like me last trip.

Wilson Software - developers of TURBO TEXAS HOLD'EM, probably the best software out there for anyone wanting to become a better player. 

Winning in Las Vegas - Great guide to everything Vegas has to offer - includes a listing for all casino poker tournaments taking place in town.  

World Poker Tour - official site for the WPT, currently being shown on Challenge TV and the Travel Channel. Hmmmm.....Shana Hiatt......

World Series of Poker - official site for the WSOP.

WPT Fan - The (Unofficial) World Poker Tour Fan Site, run by Poker pro Andy Bloch. Some very entertaining stories, useful links and polls for everything to do with poker and the World Poker Tour. 

The above are just some of the more interesting or useful sites that I've come across whilst spodding around on the 'net when I should have been working, and this list is being continually added to.
